1983, fall (approximately) - Chris coerces Dana to take down her pants in front of a small group of kids during a friend gathering at their house on the farm

1983 - second grader, Mr. Murry threatens me and a group of boys in the bathroom for peeing on the floor

1983 - second grader, Mr. Murry accuses me of drawing on the wall with a crayon

1983 - Eric is sexually abused by Chris over the summer

1983 - Watched Lady Chatterly's Lovers at the neighbors house

1984, summer - sexual encounter with Steven Laune in neighbor's swimming pool

1984, summer - stealing soda from Pepsi plant incident

1984 - third grader with Ms. Herzog at the new New Haven Elementary School

1985 - exposed to pornography magazines at the neighbors house

1985 - Bobby Laune shames me about leaving out our toys

1985 - Destroyed Bobby's baseball glove after losing a baseball game by secretly tossing his glove into the dog pen, when confronted the next day I experienced a tremendous amount of regret and shame

1986 - found Playboy magazines in garage and begin regularly viewing pornography

1986 - watch pornography on HBO while sleeping over at grandparents house

1987 - attend Shamrock basketball camp and begins pursuing excellence in basketball

1986 - fifth grader

1990 - Attended summer camp with Chris Theile - I was the cooler kid of the two of us instead of Chris being the cooler kid and making fun of me

1992 - dated Noel Schiller in the winter and spring - first sexually active relationship (non-intercourse)

1998, summer - Summer staff at Camp Wakonda near Springfield, MO

1998, fall - lived in House with Jamie, Kevin, Kent, and Mark

1998, fall - went to dance club in Springfield and met Summer, had a sexual relationship, but no intercourse

1998, winter - graduated from SBU

1999, spring - worked at YMCA in springfield and at Wakonda, visited Susie in Topika and kissed for the first time during Michael W. Smith song

1999, summer - changed mind at last minute to work at Camp Mo-Val as Program Director with Leah Atkinson

1999, summer - dated Susie toward the end of the summer at Mo-Val, worked at wakonda with Susie for the day camp, stayed at the camp and was sexual during our time there, but no intercourse or skin to skin petting

1999, end of summer - road trip to California with Susie, Valerie and Katerina, we broke up toward the end of the trip

1999, fall - lived with parents at Walnut Point Ct., worked at Evangelical Children's Home, reconnected with Sarah Moore, she invited me to be roommates with her at an apartment but I turned it down

2000, spring - reconnected with Michelle Wolfe from Wakonda and got job at Lions Den Outdoor Learning Center

2000, spring - bought the infiniti

2000, spring - Susie came out to camp mo-val early to work before being on summer staff

2000, summer - parent moved to Oak Forest court

2000, summer - i visited Susie at mo-val and she and some girls with skinny dipping in the old pool, at the end of the night she walked me to my car and I held her before I left

2000, summer - susie visited me at Lion's Den on her day off, she slept at the camp and we were physical again, and got back together

2000, summer - I think this is correct, Susie read me a note at the Missouri River in Washington that we should not be together, we met again in the same place and I read her a letter that we should be together

2000, fall susie and I corresponded over e-mail while I worked in the office at Lion's Den

2000, late fall - I moved to Albuquerque to be with susie

2001, I rode the grayhound to Albuquerque to move Susie to Missouri to be married

Birthdays aren't all that great these days either

 Man, what a depressed selfish boy I sound like.   I'm feeling all this self pity on my birthday.   I think what really set me off was Susie getting upset with me because Esther wasn't ready as early as she wanted.  It felt like intentional messing up my birthday.  That really frustrated me.   I have some important people to me in my life, and their birthday wishes meant a lot, but I still feel alone.  I still feel like I'm on my own.   Last year the Superbowl was on my birthday and it was one of my very best birthdays.  This year I had to teach on the day after my birthday and I was one of the worst I can remember.   This week especially sucks because Valentines Day is coming too.  That really sucks because it used to be such a special, fun time for me, and I thought it was for Susie too.  But maybe I was fooling myself all the while.  It's hard to believe that is that case, but I think it's true....

Jr. High Bullying

 In the 8th grade I was bullied by Cory.  I can't remember the kids last name.  I would stand there at my locker and he would shove my back and I would bump into my locker.   It seems like the first time he did it it was an act of endurement.  Like playing around with one of your buddies.  But after a few times it got old.  He would look back at me with his hair flip in his blonde hair, seemingly to make sure that I knew it was him that pushed me.  It went from enduring, to annoying, to bullying, to daily trauma.  I set up a punching bag in my basement.  I found some martial arts magazines and started to practice some moves.  I grew a fear of confronting him.   I tried to just hope away the problem but it wouldn't go away.  I grew more and more weary of him doing this to me and I tried to come up with a scheme to get him to stop doing it.  Often there was an administrator at the end of the hallway watching o...

Trip to Gerald - May 26 to June 3, 2021

Wed, May 26         heyooooooooooo Abq to Tucumcari 2:40, 186 mi to Amarillo 1:41, 113 mi to Sayre 1:57, 132 mi to OKC 1:54, 129 mi to McD 2:25, 167 mi to Spfd 2:05, 132 mi to Gerald 2:34 163 arrived! We left at 6:03 am, almost on time. Elijah wanted to make oatmeal before leaving. The driving was very smooth and easy. Elijah commented about the time going by quickly. And it did. Compared to the trip in Nov. 2020, the van made much better time. We averaged about 80, the scion averaged about 70! Elijah and I listened to Rachel Held Evans. He was diggin' it. It gave him a story to relate to. Though I don't think it strengthened his Christian faith. But, overall I think it was good thing for him to hear. We talked less than I would have liked, but we did talk some. I was able to speak to him about the value of putting yourself in a position to make money if there comes a time that you need or want to. That he should pursue writing, but that this is a good ti...
