Life Log - Kyle William Nix, February 12, 1976

 I was close the Zastrow family.  There was something about the way that Vicky took the time to talk with us as we got a little older.   I remember the time when Rick went to console of the Jeremy's friends when I was in high school.  Rick and Vicky heard about a teenagers, maybe on of the Shuck boys that was really upset.  Rick left to go talk to him.  Vicky wanted to help him or Rick realized he needed help.  To calm his down and talk him out of doing something stupid.  I remember thinking that that seemed like the kind of situation that I didn't want to be a part of and should keep my distance.  That I couldn't imagine my dad going to do such a thing.  I mean what words would you use.  How would you do that?  Calm down a mad teenager.  But Rick came home and said that the situation was better and things would be ok.  It was really something.   I also remember the time I stayed at Jeremy's birthday pa...

 This evening and yesterday evening Susie told me about the jui jitsu worlds happening in Vegas. She considered going and even requested off on Wednesday, but didn't attend.  Several of her friends went.  The founder of One won worlds.  Another friend from her guy got 2nd or 3rd. A 50 year old woman placed high as well.  Susie earned her 2nd stripe in may or February, I believe.  Her friend that is a black belt has a son who has autism and a husband who will be deployed until November.  Esther and Susie went to the natural history museum with them in the summer.  They watched the star movie which was a bit boring but they liked parts of it. That's where they heard about the lunar eclipse happening on Sat Oct 14th.
